Keep your digital readers in motion

When it comes to writing headlines, you probably won’t always have the time you desire to come up with the perfect one — especially when you work in the hurry-up digital world.

That’s OK.

If you visualize what the story is about while you edit, you can start writing the headline in your head. Focus on words that will inspire readers to click or tap.

That’s the goal of any headline writer. But speed matters more on mobile platforms. So practice “seeing” the headline as you read the story. In the end — in however little time you might have — chances are great that you will be able to write a headline that readers, too, can “see” and that makes readers click or tap.
